Blueberry Basil Tea

For this week’s beverage, I’m featuring a blueberry basil iced tea. There are lots of blueberry basil recipes on the interwebs. I think I might try this with green tea and maybe test it with different berries. Have fun and get creative!

Without further ado – Blueberry Basil Tea

Ingredients
7 cups water
1 cup blueberries
1 cup fresh basil
5 tablespoons sugar
12 white tea bags
Ice

Directions
Bring 4 cups water to a boil with 1 cup each blueberries and fresh basil and 5 tablespoons sugar; stir to dissolve the sugar. Let cool 5 minutes. Add 12 white tea bags and steep 5 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, gently pressing on the solids. Stir in 3 cups cold water. Chill. Serve over ice with blueberries and basil sprigs.
